E-business Categories:
The E-business categories are relatively simple to grasp and can be divided into the following categories:
· Business to Consumer (B2C)
· Business to Government (B2G)
· Consumer to Government (C2G)
· Business to Business (B2B)
· Consumer to Consumer (C2C)
Business to consumer (B2C): Is the type of business that sells their product or service to an individual consumer for profit. Good examples of this are K-mart in Australia or Wal-Mart in the USA selling their goods to consumers.
Business to Government (B2G): Businesses selling their goods or services to government agencies. A government organization would hire a third second party to clean the windows to their building or to build a new city bypass. The Victorian government in Australia is currently hiring another party to build the East/West city bypass link through Melbourne.

Consumer to Government (C2G): The book for which we study for our E-Commerce coarse doesn’t identify that consumer to government is a major category of E-Business however as it is one I will endeavor to supply an explanation. Consumer to Government (C2G) specifically relates to Taxation (yay).
Business to Business (B2B):
This is directly described as businesses selling their products or services directly to another business. The local gym in your town is hiring a painting company to re-color paint the existing walls of their establishment.
